We were approached by Little Wandle to assist with their case study films at one of their partnered primary schools. Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised is the fastest-growing Department for Education-validated phonics programme, already supporting over 5,000 schools to teach every child to learn to read. Newby Primary employs this system throughout its teaching.

Little Wandle needed footage of their phonics programme being used in real classroom environments, along with interviews with the faculty staff. The classroom footage would then be overlaid with the interviews to highlight this specific teaching method and how it is incorporated into the school’s daily teaching. This material would be used as promotional material for Little Wandle.

The shoot took place at Newby Primary School in Bradford, requiring us to be accompanied at all times due to the sensitive nature of filming around children. As a professional video production company, Brickoven is well-versed in managing shoots of this nature and prides itself on ensuring everyone feels safe around our camera equipment and crew.
