How We Helped Summize Tell Their Brand Story

We always love collaborating with the team at Summize whenever the opportunity arises. This time, they came to us with a fresh challenge: to reimagine their brand film. The brief was clear: build on what worked in their previous video, update the tone and visuals to reflect their growth, and create something that matched the energy and ambition of their brand. After a deep-dive call where we explored their vision, style references, and goals, we developed a creative pitch that got the green light.

What is a Brand Film?

A brand film is the “hero piece” of a company’s content library. It introduces your story, your people, and your purpose, all in one powerful package. For Summize, this meant showing not only who they are today, but also where they’re headed as a fast-growing SaaS company. We call it “sales without being salesy”, a video that builds trust, excites your audience, and works as a sales tool without feeling like a pitch.

The challenge

Refresh Summize’s Brand film

Summize needed a film that was as slick and dynamic as the software they create. As a SaaS brand, expectations are high. With the likes of Apple setting the bar for tech storytelling. The film had to feel polished, professional, and unmistakably “Summize.”

The solution

To hit that standard, we knew the film had to combine: The graphics and sound weren’t just add-ons, they were integral. They supported the narrative, reinforced the brand, and gave the film a distinctive edge.

The Shoot

Preparation was key. A thorough location scout meant that, on shoot days, we could maximise our packed schedule without wasting time problem-solving on-site. We filmed over two days, capturing both senior leaders and junior team members. With the leadership team, time was limited, so we focused on creating a relaxed, comfortable environment, helping them deliver natural, confident performances. Alongside the brand film, we also shot additional content for Summize’s social channels and internal comms. Giving them extra value from the production. In total:

The Edit

Post-production brought everything together. We collaborated with our long-term partner, Nicole Williamson Design, to storyboard motion graphics that flowed seamlessly through the video. This wasn’t about adding graphics on top, it was about weaving them into the storytelling. We also animated brand-new product assets, bringing Summize’s latest features to life on screen. Finally, Wes’s sound design tied everything together, adding depth and character that made the film truly stand out.

The results

The finished brand film didn’t just meet expectations, it exceeded them. Summize loved it so much that they immediately commissioned a follow-up project: a video showcasing their new AI agent, SIA.
